The Seeing Stars® program develops symbol imagery—the ability to visualize sounds and letters in words—as a basis for orthographic awareness, phonemic awareness, word attack, word recognition, spelling, and contextual reading fluency. This comprehensive kit provides the teaching materials you need to implement Seeing Stars® instruction in one-to-one, small-group, or classroom settings.

All Seeing Stars Kit Components are available for individual sale. The Seeing Stars® Kit includes:

  • Seeing Stars Teacher's Manual, Second Edition - The manual details the theory and specific steps of the Seeing Stars program. You will learn how to develop students' symbol imagery for phonological and orthographic processing in reading and spelling.
  • Consonant and Vowel Cards - Consonant and Vowel Cards help students form rapid sound-letter associations by developing symbol imagery.
  • Sounds and Symbols Charts - Sounds and Symbols Charts are a helpful aid in tracking student progress through the letters and sounds.
  • Syllable Boards - The Syllable Boards have lots of finger-writing activities that develop symbol imagery and spelling skills.
